BASEBALL HALL OF FAME

About

Established in 1939, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum was originally created to bring tourists to Cooperstown, New York to offset the town's economic downfall during the Great Depression. Today, the Baseball Hall of Fame reaches over 10 million baseball fans each year through museum visits, educational programs, and its websites, publications, and membership programs, and serves as the central location to preserve America's favorite pastime.

The Hall honors those who have excelled in playing, managing, and serving the sport, and has nearly 300 inductees today. The Member Licensing Program consists of more than 60 living Baseball Hall of Fame inductees, including Cal Ripken, Jr., Reggie Jackson, Ryne Sandberg, Nolan Ryan, Roberto Alomar, Orlando Cepeda, and many more.

The Hall has and will continue to exemplify its motto of "Preserving History, Honoring Excellence, Connecting Generations" for many years to come.
